Farewell Pretoria

I’ve started this post a half dozen times from this stiff airport “lounge” chair.  This was our first home – a launching point for a continent of adventure – a place to be together – and a place where we were very much alone.

I struggle how to capture it in words.  We’ve dreamt here, cried here, prayed to come back, tried to stay longer, and wished it was over.

Ultimately time prevailed as it always does, and we’re left to unpack what it will mean to us.  What follows is a season complete.  Raw, everyday life captured in a way that we hope reflects some of what we’ve felt – most especially the beauty of the simple every day life we’ve been given.

  1. Starting marriage overseas is such a blessing! Although uniquely difficult, having time to yourselves to learn each other is something you will likely appreciate for your lifetime. Now time to come back home and live closer to me! 😊 Love you both!
