A Summer Evening with the Rivera Family

In my last post, I wrote about the friendships that you create in your twenties when it’s just you and your dreams and plenty of time for friends. Kristina is one of those friends. Several years later, after weddings and moves and lots of things in between, life looks different than the two of us ordering pizza on a Friday night.

The four Riveras are not often all together, so we took the opportunity to capture some of their favorite summer memories. Smiles, games, teaching moments, and dinner chatter. After family dinner around their table, they played one of their favorite games (complete with whipped cream to the face) and walked to their neighborhood park. Jeremiah made sure his younger sister looked both ways before they crossed the street and played soccer or basketball with Dad any chance he could. Lilly worked on her Lego set with Kristina and later clamored to the top of the playground with a grin spread wide across her face. The evening ended with a walk back home and popsicles for everyone.
